| Violinist/Composer Larry Deming has released his new CD, "JOURNEY TO THE EAST".
The music on the CD evokes an imaginary trip that the listener may take, as seen and heard through the eyes and ears of a small band of travelers. Music from 2,000 years ago (“Skolion of Seikilos”) to the present (“Journey to the East”) undergoes musical transformations in an
acoustic fusion of West African, European, Asian and American influences.
All pieces on the disc are either original compositions by Deming or his adaptations of Asian themes encountered as a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
